A Direct Link Between Globalization And Human Rights

I think it is obvious that there is a direct link between globalization and human rights movements, both governmental as well as NGOs. Consider how the major events that most drove globalization, such as WWI and WWII have led to human rights measures and movements based on the atrocities committed in those global events. According to the UN website The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly on 10 December 1948, was the result of the experience of the Second World War (â€Å"Universal Declaration of Human Rights: History of the document,† n.d.). Similarly, the Hague and Geneva conventions were the direct result of conflicts associated with globalization.
